THE SKULL (ex-TROUBLE) Premieres New Song "Till the Sun Turns Black"

New Band Featuring Former Members of Doom Metal Legends TROUBLE and PENTAGRAM to Release Debut LP For Those Which Are Asleep November 4th.

Pre-order the vinyl directly from our webstore HERE.

"roaring riff-boom with a shot of NWoBHM majesty and psychedelic atmosphere" - Blurt

THE SKULL -- the new band featuring original members Eric Wagner (vocals) and Jeff "Oly" Olson (drums) of American doom metal legends TROUBLE alongside longtime TROUBLE bassist Ron Holzner, guitarist Lothar Keller (SACRED DAWN) and former PENTAGRAM guitarist Matt Goldsborough will release their debut album For Those Which Are Asleep on November 4 via Tee Pee Records, the NYC independent record label known for releasing landmark albums from acts such as High on Fire, Graveyard, Earthless and Sleep.

In advance of the record's release, THE SKULL premieres the new song "Till the Sun Turns Black", debuting the cut via NOISEY, who says, "Don't worry, The Skull is basically Trouble on their new track" (the best compliment to be had!). Rock THE SKULL's "Till the Sun Turns Black" now at THIS location!

Written and recorded this past spring, For Those Which Are Asleep features ten tracks of elemental Heavy Metal and is the first full length album to feature Wagner, Holzner andOlson since the 1995 release of TROUBLE's critically acclaimed LP Plastic Green Head. The new record's greatest strength is how well it captures the apocalyptic trudge that Trouble delivered from the first downbeat of their 1984 debut, but now unequivocally propelled by the hallmarks of a hungry new band fueled by new blood. The mighty voice of Wagner is on full display; the vocalist proving on For Those Which Are Asleep that he still wields an eerie power at the mic. Titanic riffs abound as Kellerand Goldsborough weave ominous atmospheres over the molten, crushing core ofHolzner and Olson's sinister strut. Make no mistake, THE SKULL are in complete command of their craft and have capably created a modern classic; a recording where atmosphere is established as drums crash, guitars blare and stories are told.

California Quartet Featuring Members of ANNIHILATION TIME, WITCH and SAVIOURS Release New LP "Zeta Reticuli Blues" - out NOW

Oakland, California's LECHEROUS GAZE will release its new album Zeta Reticuli Blues on June 17 via Tee Pee Records. Recorded at Earhammer Studios (High on Fire, Hot Lunch),Zeta Reticuli Blues delivers ten uber-memorable tracks that showcase the sizzling six-string sonics of Graham Clise (also of Witch), the band's Sabbath-tight rhythm section and the sneering snarl of vocalist Zaryan Zaidi. Zeta Reticuli Blues is the follow-up to LECHEROUS GAZE's full-length debut, On the Skids, which was hailed as one of the "Best Bay Area Metal Albums of 2012by SF Weekly.

Pitchfork debuted the song "Boulevard Diamonds", calling the cut "a boogie straight out of hell." Point, click and crank it at THIS location.

LECHEROUS GAZE was formed in 2010 by former Annihilation Time members Graham Clise (guitar), Chris Grande (bass) and Noel Sullivan (drums). Inspired by "Chuck Berry, the Damned and most stuff that came in between," LECHEROUS GAZE play -- in their own words -- "Psycho-delic shred-tastic ultra-hyphened rock-punk heavy jams." We call it a smash-up of '60s and '70s hard rock, punk and metal influences (think: MC5 to Black Sabbath to AC/DC to the Ramones), fast and to the point!

In additional LECHEROUS GAZE news, the band has been confirmed for the the inaugural Meltasia Music Festival, set to take place September 5-8 in LaFayette, GA. The band will share the stage with acts like Black Lips, Nik Turner's Hawkwind, Black Oak Arkansas, Danava and more.

"Oakland, California's Lecherous Gaze are the latest gang of not-so juvenile delinquents to throw out the riff rule-book and create something that rocks with the best of whatever form of amplified and aggressive guitar rock you prefer to fixate on. There's the sleazy swagger of '70s Nugent, the mad abandon of The Germs, the Rama Lama Fa Fa Fa of the MC5 and the tripped-out, searching musicality of Hendrix and early Santana. At the artistic helm of a new wave of stoner punk bands, including label mates The Shrine, the remainder of the year is sure to be filled with constant touring and probably capped with their appearance on  many a 'Best of 2014' list on the strength of the new album." - VH1

"Lecherous Gaze got their start in the Oakland hardcore scene over a decade ago, but they've mellowed out ever since lead vocalist Zaryan Zaidi took the reigns in 2011-that is, if your notion of "mellowing out" involves swapping breakneck tempos for crushing psych, smoking 20 joints, and turning the amps up to the point that your teeth rattle. Their new album, Zeta Reticuli Blues, hits shelves June 3 via Tee Pee, and features guitar work that'll make you long for the days when they still made Guitar Hero games." - PITCHFORK

"lick-laden songs...sleaze-greased '70s hard-rock groove...purveyors of true rock." - THE ONION

"more filthy rock than scummy punk...this is rock 'n' roll in the hands of heathens" - DECIBEL

"Lecherous Gaze continues down the path laid by their former project Annihilation Time, mixing Black Flag/SST punk with old-fashioned rock n' roll leads that owe a debt to Thin Lizzy." - BROOKLYN VEGAN

"The four piece - with ties to Drunk Horse, High on Fire, and Saviours - basically sounds like a drunken '70s punk-rock party." - EAST BAY EXPRESS

"To put it plainly, this shit rocks." - VERBICIDE
